Humans. Why are they cool? Hard to tell. In the office lately, there are so many flaws. Yet I love my job. What makes that difference with this job and so many others?
Other companies have autonomy issues. Their employees have such potential, yet their freedom is restricted. Small managers, supervisors or the “middleman” has equaled problems and hindrance in my career. But maybe it is the system that is the root cause. The game, rather than the players.
In my company there is a spirit and a soul, which makes you put up with the lack of a canteen and poor airflow. Someone bothers to ask if you are OK and listens when not. Everyone is responsible, accountable and endorsed. If you want it.
The sole trader in charge sticks out his neck and takes ownership when needed. Feedback is listened to and the difference it makes. But the dude in charge is in no way perfect and that is not disguised. Mistakes are admitted, bad days acknowledged and openness to change. The transparency of imperfection transforms management to leadership with a piece of humanity.
There is the difference.
Minds that blow. Away. Slowly. Shy guys (in that game, shooting) as their consciousness left.
Empty eyes. You can never force. What you can’t hold. Powers.
You scream, challenge me, the echo reaches your ear. Empty lies. Life gave you a knife, instead.
Boldness can be so (un)sexy. Death breath on your neck.

Death needs to floss. Swallow. Gurgle. Inhale.
Better 1 reading between the lines than 100 lost with words. In they forest.
Wooden body. Bunny. So simple, predictable. Press a button, action, result. Production robot. Why wasting time when time is all we have? LOL.
When did you lose the glimpse in your (eye)? Life is made for laughs. Stand up is fab. Be smart AND laugh. (My boss can’t use italic, nor can .)
Freedom? A pleasure, curly. Are you going on a date, they said.
Social life is always the first to fall, bouncing in between the job and the study. It doesn’t bother me as much as it would’ve 10 years ago. But the fact is, I’ve got many acquaintances and few friends, completely my fault, relationships take time to build.
I don’t miss stuff, appreciate the presentness of when the pleasure of enjoying is there instead. Even though it is easier said than done sometimes. Fucking Zen.
I don’t care to hunt for a partner, infatuation is just a pain in the ass anyway. But I do miss someone with the money to travel, the passion and freedom to not be tied down to one location and adventurous enough to get out of their comfort zone (read: ability sleeping in a tent and go hiking/backpacking/running/adventures). Without drug issues and chronical diseases. Loyal, honest, caring.

Should, would, could. But iPhone 4S is out. Thoughts from Google engage and Paris are still spinning around. And the weird “dating culture” of Amsterdam, which I never really thought about before becoming single.
Does Dutch dating even exist? Coughing and not feeling well at all, I took a stroll around my office today. It struck me that a good couple of times by now, guys have been honking, shouting and in other ways flirting with me. Always on my lunch break walk, in Amsterdam north. I never paid much attention as not really wearing sexy clothes to work. Notable is, this happens in an industrial estate area, daytime, office hours. Different guys, different races, different places. It never happened when dressed up, or elsewhere in the city. Unless of course I am being ignorant or just never understood what they said until now.
It is surreal when a black guy comes cycling with his 3 year old in his bakfiets, shouting something obscene. Dutch guys are weird and in particular the ones in Amsterdam Noord.
