Found in Spits newspaper this morning. We have good jobs, come here!

Infidelity, fidelity, IQ and gender.

Stupidity

Admit you are stupid too, while you’re at it.

Lately, it has been a lot of debate about unfaithfulness and broken relationships. They say cheaters are more stupid than faithful partners. The study made only discussed men, because (I quote) “According to his theory, the link between fidelity and intelligence does not apply to women because they have always been expected to be faithful to one mate  -  even in polygamous societies

I met many people from many different places in my life, and from that crowd of people I by fact know more women than men that have been cheating. Come on. It is not expected that women are faithful more than by men? Give me a break.

I for example know for a fact that Italians are not faithful, neither gender. Maybe it has some history to it. Maybe it’s part of culture. (One of the few features in Italian culture that isn’t beautiful, by the way.) It doesn’t really matter as I have seen females in other cultures cheating as well. It is just public information, a common knowledge. (Stupid) people cheat.

So why am I upset? It diminishes women to say that when it comes to our gender, it doesn’t make us smarter to be faithful. For a man it is A+ to be faithful. For a woman, B. I respectfully disagree.

Steve Jobs and me about Flash.

We don’t really like it, do we. Security issues, CPU eating, crash-generating. Did you try running Youtube in HTML5? It works fine.

Here’s the deal. I used to work for the company producing Flash. I supported people that had issues with Adobe Flash player. No wonder Adobe allocated web support only, considering the volumes of troubles we would have had otherwise.

Before the era of Adobe, I used to produce content with Flash. Flash is fun. Creative people use Flash, I found. They create beautiful stuff that takes minutes to load (unless you reside in Sweden, where they have up to 1gb broadband connection). When wanting to go back, tapping backspace will not do the trick. In short, Flash is not very practical.

As in the article linked in the beginning mentions that Flash doesn’t work well on Mac OS X, I would like to ask: Where does it work well? I have used it on Windows and I rarely find it a positive experience (except in the few cases when the connection is very speedy, the computer includes good hardware, the content in the website is made by professionals as linked above and all various other factors that needs fulfilling. But it is a bit too much to ask of each and every person, isn’t it?).

I find Flash impractical, beautiful, demanding and out of date. When I Googled these words, the first link that came up was related to Internet Explorer 6. Therefore I would like to encourage all Flash promoters to speak up, convert me. Please.
